— About the Programme

More Than an After-School Club

Fun Explorers is a world cultures enrichment programme that takes
primary-age children on a journey around the globe — one country, one
session, one extraordinary discovery at a time.

— Where It All Began

A Simple Belief

Fun Explorers was created from a simple but powerful belief: that children who learn to genuinely celebrate the world’s cultures — not just tolerate them, but find them fascinating — grow into more curious, more empathetic, and more resilient people.

The programme was founded by Michael Meachum and has been running in primary schools across the UK, bringing world cultures to life through hands-on, joyful, age-appropriate sessions that children genuinely look forward to every week.

Fun Explorers London is operated by Fun Clubs London Limited, founded by Simon Ford — a youth development specialist with over a decade of experience working with young people across education, coaching and community settings. Simon brings the Fun Explorers programme to London schools with the same founding belief at its centre: that every child deserves a window onto the world.

— What It Actually Is

A Weekly Journey, From Age 5 to 11

At its heart, Fun Explorers is a weekly after-school club for children aged 5 to 11. Each session explores a different country — its people, its culture, its food, its art, its music and its stories.

Over the course of a full programme, children visit 30 countries across every continent. Each country gets its own session. Each session gets its own badge. By the end of the year, a child who has completed the programme has explored the world in a way that no geography lesson alone could offer.

The sessions are delivered by trained Fun Explorers club leaders — recruited, vetted and DBS-checked through our specialist partner, Uniform Education. All materials are supplied. All booking is handled online. For schools, the administrative burden is close to zero.

—Why It Works

Why Schools Choose Fun Explorers

Headteachers tell us the same things. Their children talk about Fun
Explorers all week. Parents ask to sign up before the club has even
launched.

Genuinely Enriching — Not Just Busy

Every session is designed around real cultural content, not generic craft activities. Children learn something true about another part of the world, every single week.

Effortless for Schools

We recruit and vet the club leader, supply all materials, handle parent booking and payment, and provide full compliance documentation. Your job is to say yes and open the door.

Aligned With Ofsted

Fun Explorers directly evidences cultural awareness, respect for diversity, and the extracurricular depth inspectors look for under the personal development judgement.

Affordable for Families

Sessions are priced at £15 per child — competitive with other after-school provision and accessible to the families in your school community.
